Oh Thanks Mike, its awesome that you have given us another pattern to play with!! so the pattern at the top of the page is yours?? i have had this pattern for such a long time and always wondered who made it, i mean, i knew it was by a guy called Michael moore, but didnt know you where on the forum!! lol!! i will definatly be trying this one out, as the first one is amazing, i just love the shape of the head, i did make a few modifications to allow for different mouths, as i found that the pattern worked a little better if the mouth was designed into it beforehand.
do you have a website with any more patterns on it?? and you say you didnt work with Dave Privett on playoup or the the DVD's, but is this the sort of stuff he teaches how to do on his DVD's?
Thanks again for another pattern.

Jessica,
Are you using the first or second pattern? The second one looks like the mouth is part of the pattern where the first one you have to cut it into the final shape or add it in before you cut and glue. Either way once you have the opening in the foam where the mouth is to go you could take a piece of paper or cardboard and lay it flat against the upper or lower "gums". Then draw around the outer edge of the face so you get the shape for your mouth plates. Then you need to take the thickness of your foam off that line to get the shapes you want to cut out.
Here are a few videos about moth plates that may help you.

I just built it out of paper and tape (yeah, bored at work) and got a kind of "Fraggle" shape, very long mouth, but the funny thing is if you turn it upside down it looks kinda like a lizard.....

If you take a look at Dr. Puppets videos, he has a great video lesson on how to pattern a custom mouth plate for any size or shape
