Ummmm he is still sold out....he has left everything up and didn't change anything.....I was way to excited then a big disappointment....lol.

Weird. A week or so ago I went to his site and it showed it was closed because he was moving, then I went to his site right before posting this and it comes up as if he has it in stock. I do notice on the actual fleece page that it is listed as "sold out". Sorry. I just got excited for everyone looking for it. Oops. Maybe Matt can fill us in on expected arrival date.

P.S. I do have white antron on order, but long time mill customers get first priority, so I won't know if I'm actually getting a shipment until it's ready from the manufacturer. I'll keep everyone posted in case Matt or Georgia Stage runs out.

Thanks for letting us know mpgrace.....I hope the Mill is getting lots of complaints......this is ridiculous that we are completely dry for at least 4 months. Sorry to get on my soap box....but I had to get it off my chest....I have some major projects waiting.
Anyways I feel a little better.....but more may come out if it is not available by the middle of july as expected.

I talked with Larry Guild and explained the frustrations of folks................ He was very nice and once he explained I understood better. Here are some of the things we discussed.
He said that for some reason the demand for Antron fleece has been very high this year. The reason being that costume and mascot businesses, and theme Parks are the main consumers ordering 500 yards at a time. Puppet builders fall second on the list only buying 50-100 yards at a time.
They have tried to find other knitters or factories that would consider knitting the 14 ounce while they produce the 12 ounce but he has not had much luck due to there being very few knitting machines available.
The Hampshire textile mill only has one knitting machine producing 25-30 rolls a month. They knit 1000 yards in 3 days and up to 9000 yards a week. It then has to be sent to finishing factories where they finalize the process with them finishing up to a 1000 yards a week. With all this it is hard to keep up. He tries to get them to make as many runs of cloth as they can............. I guess knitters is a rare craft.
After filling the costume and mascot orders he tries to reserve at least 500 yards for Georgia Stage and the Puppet community sending about 150 yards to Georgia stage.
At this time there is about a 30-60 day wait on orders. Even with this high demand they have only had a small price increase per yard in the past year. Larry said the problem with shipping outside the USA is the time it takes and the documentation required to ship from the mill.
He said that they are having severe problems with Fed X and UPS on shipping quotes with final billing being much more than the quotes. I have received emails that he would not answer his phone................... He said this is not true, they are a small mill operation not needing a website...not sure if he has a email and am sure he prefers the phone approach. He assured me that if anyone called he would be there to talk with them. If I had anymore questions to not hesitate to ask.
So believe me they are trying to make it as quickly as possible. I hope this explains things a bit.

You are right on the money. Larry was very nice to also explain the process to me also. He is a great guy and I think they are doing the very best they can to meet our needs. I know it can be frustrating to need a product and have to wait, but this is not just a problem facing Larry. I order from several companies that receive their products from over seas. They can wait 4-6 months to receive a shipment, so we all just have to be patient. As a small business myself I know the desire Larry has to serve his customers. Trying to balance supply vs. demand is always a challenge. I just try to keep in mind that I am doing the very best I can and believe others are also. It helps the wait. We need to remember....it's a very good thing for everyone that Larry's business is increasing. It means companies are doing better, so they are ordering more product. I know it has created stress on them to keep up with the demand, but I'm sure they are working hard to serve us better.
Cody, I don't have a set price yet because I won't know what my total cost with shipping will be until I receive the product. The yardage per roll varies, so the does the shipping depending on the size of the roll. A 42 yd roll can be half the price of shipping as a 55yd roll. That will effect the price. Sorry to be vague, but I'll know more sometime in the middle to end of July. You can check my site say the end of July, but I will post it here also if I receive some.
Contact Name Removed from Georgia Stage will notify everyone when they receive their shipment. As far as I know based on my conversation with Contact Name Removed is they will have white, flesh and pumpkin gold. Remember you can still get the pumpkin from them right now.

I know how you feel Daryl, the last time everywhere was out of stock I had taken orders from clients and just about held on to my orders due to the wait. It can be quite inconvenient. Now I order in a large bulk and keep track of my stock!
