Ok, so it's summer now and so im getting ready to start making some puppets. But i have absolutely no idea where to get the right kind of foam, so i need some help. I'm hoping to find a place where you don't have to order online, you know? thanks a lot.

What kind of foam are you wanting? Regular poly-foam can be bought at any fabric store like Hancock or Joann fabrics. You can also check with a local upholstery shop, they sometimes discard good pieces of scrap foam.

If you are on a really tight budget and are for helping the environment, why not try to recycle some old couch foam or matress foam? Its a bit more work, but it can do the job. That is what I do mostly cuz I just dont have the budget for reticulated foam.

Joann's in my area is very expensive (compared to other places). Hobby Lobby or Wal Mart is cheaper.
