Been a member for ages but never really introduced myself. Hi, I'm Milt Posted by AtomicNinjaMonkey on Jul 07, 2010
I think this forum rocks and often come in here for a read or to research stuff. I don't really contribute much , but today I want to change that.
I used to work as a freelance stop-motion puppet maker / model maker in the 90s, have been out of the game for a long time but over the last few years have found myself coming back to puppet making again. I recently completed my dream project of designing and building from scratch a full body latex cable controlled creature, I have posted some pics in the gallery.
Hope to make some cool friends here and get more involved in the discussions.

Welcome so glad you took the time to join in and share with us your project.
Very unique look to the puppet. I am guessing but is the mouth and eyes cable controlled or just the eyes? As well I like the eyes where do you get them? Keep us up on what you are doing.

Thanks for the warm welcome.
I have actually filmed the design and building process and would like to put it out once edited (Many many hours of footage). I'd really love to help others build puppets like this, they are not that difficult but they are a huge project too take on.
The story of this guy is that he was actually destined to star in a web TV show. Budgets ran out as we got to test shooting and it didn't happen. Also I found the puppeteering part really difficult because to be honest I am a Puppet-maker not a puppeteer. Of course if I put the practice in I could probably do it.
So I'm actually selling him on eBay this week, that's another question for you guys is tips on selling puppets on ebay, but i should post that in Marketing section of this forum.
here is a small video of him in action
and I have put more info about him here also http://AtomicPuppet.com

Welcome! I have to say that is one very cool, and very creepy, puppet
I'd love to see the behind-the-scenes footage of how you built it, I don't know much about latex and am always interested in filling in the gaps.
