Yes Rosie, I used 22 gauge florist wire for the fingers, bent over and twisted so each finger is stronger. His ears have the wire in them too so they are also "poseable". The legs and feet are from the pattern available at Project Puppet combined with their "alternate body pattern" and yes, I simply added them to the front of the puppet turning the half-body into a full-body. I also used the legs and feet pattern (with modified toes) on this guy:

I'm about to start on a new monster puppet for a friends son, he loves Elmo, so I am going to make something similar while still being different.

Thank you! His name is Gudo He's made with Fire Red Punky Muppet fur from Mendel's, it's super soft and silky feeling

That's a very cute puppet. I echo Shawn's comment on the ears. I really like this guy.

I have a new question regarding the puppet: Is a blinking eye mechanism possible on a fraggle styled puppet (Glorified Sock Puppet)? I know one of the fraggles (Mokey, if memory serves me) did have some eyelid mech on her (Normally to close her eyes sometimes or create an expression of shock/surprise)

I was also going to give him some poseable fingers with built in arm-rods (Thanks to the tutorial at Project Puppet).

One other thing, I changed his fleece color. He's now pink, thanks to someone letting me cannibalize their Snuggie. It works really well and it pretty comfortable. However, this guy is still in his building stages, and I will post pictures once everything's said, done, sewn and glued.

Wondering why you think blinking eyes would be important for your puppet?  I only question it because it is so hard to get blinking eyes down with working a puppet.  I am not trying to discourage you just saying they usually have two puppeteers for blinking eye puppets to make sure it works well.  If you take the Muppets I would say 98% of them do NOT have any mechanics and we never really noticed and the few that did rarely used them only to highlight certain emotions.  Just to have blinking eyes isn't a good reason you really need to see how it would be in the character of the puppet.

Just my thoughts on this matter......

To answer your question....it would not work at all in the glorified pattern.....you would need to bump up to the professional patterns that project puppet have.

I wish you all the luck with making your puppet.

Okay then, I guess I'll just stick to regular eyelids, if even that. I probably will still do the articulated fingers and arm-rods though. That kinda seems like more of an essential than blinking eyes.

Yes rods and articulated fingers are important.

I'll have to second Daryl's comments about blinking eyes... they are pretty involved and wouldn't work well with such a flexible style of puppet. The Forma series patterns could use blinking eyes, they are bigger and have a sturdy foam base. The articulated fingers and arm-rods are pretty much essentials, unless you want their arms to just swing in the breeze :p

Alright then. I'll save the blinking eyes for something else. Arm-rods, on the other hand, I am going to do.
