Copyrights...again! lol Posted by lovable puppet pals on Jul 23, 2010
Hey Guys,
I know this has been visited many times, but I can't find info on Brazil Puppets patterns. I'm just wondering if it's ok to sell puppets made from her pattern.
Any info appreciated! :d

It is a standard pattern used through out Brazil by many people there. I'm sure if you use that pattern and ad your own twist to it just as you would any other pattern and make it your own it would be OK..................... They encourage people to use the pattern as a base for creating your own ideas as to what the puppets should look like. That is just my opinion.

I don't remember seeing anything that would restrict you from making a puppet with their pattern and then selling it. It is my understanding that the copyright is on the pattern itself so that you do not duplicate that and sell it.

I think Shawn is probably rite, copyrite on the pattern, so maybe just tweak it up a little bit

im wondering which pattern your reffering to, the one with the foam head and body with a pattern for the fleece cover? or the foam pattern that they don't cover with anything.
