mars

I just bought this guy from a seller that I've purchased from before.  I found the seller to be a pretty good guy who's selling great puppets at reasonable prices.

I had been planning on getting a different puppet from him, but I saw he had this one on Ebay and I couldn't pass it up.

Puppet's name is Mars...

His name is Kevin.  His comapny is Luna's Puppets.

He's got some really cool monsters.  They are all pretty large, and most of them have blinking eyes which are cool.  Kevin actually changed his blinking eye trigger on his puppets thanks to a suggestion by me after I bought my first one from him.

He's a good guy and makes some good stuff for what I think are fair prices.  You can find stuff of his on Ebay every now and then for $60-$100 less than he's selling on his site.

I agree with Kanja, although I don't have a big collection of puppets from other builders. I do think its a great idea.
I made my first puppet purchase from an international puppet builder who I admired his work. From this I was able
to visually deconstruct his work to see how I can better build puppets of my own. By no means am I saying go out
and copy someone elses work. What I am saying is learn tips and tricks to achieving professional results from puppet builders
who's work you aspire to. Like the saying "If you want to become rich, do what rich people do."

Thanx -

I would love to be able to buy puppets from other builders but I really can't afford it.  That's why I built my first puppet, I couldn't afford the kind of puppet I wanted.  I know that puppets are supposed to be used, it's not enough for them to be buil,t they are not complete unless they are brought to life by a puppeteer.

That being said I can see that they do make great art.  I have five of my creations on display in my house.  they were built for a series of performances, but when they're not on stage why not enjoy the great craftmanship.
