Cutting Foam Posted by Sunbeatle Puppets on Aug 02, 2010
Hi everyone, i was wondering, what do you use to cut foam? I know some people buy special foam cutters and stuff but its not really much of an option for me, i'm on a small budget :/
Anybody used exacto knives? if so where do you buy them?
Thank you all for the help

I use razor blades. Very cheap and easy to replace. They get dull pretty fast.

You can also use a sharp kitchen knife. Foam does dull pretty much anything you use pretty fast. With a knife if you have a sharpener you can keep it sharpened. Razor blades are good like anglered4kids mentioned and you can get a whole box of them for pretty cheap. Check your hobby store. Look for the ones that are exposed on just one side that have the other side covered in a bit of metal that acts kind of like a handle of sorts.

I get my razor blades at Lowes or Home Depot. Pretty cheap for a box of 100.
