The childrens are the best! When they come up and give you a giant hug afterwards, its all worth it.

Isn't that the truth! I got lots of hugs today!!

That is so awesome!  What are their ages?  Were there a mixture of age groups?  How many children were there total and did you break them into groups?  How many other adults were there on hand to help?  I ask because I did a few projects after I performed for my son's preschool (ages 4-5) and there were two teachers, myself, my husband, and 20 children.  It was a lot of work but like you said, it was awesome getting paid in hugs by all the kiddos.  I teared up the last day of school knowing that my son was going to a new school and I would miss seeing all their tiny faces.

What was the project that you did with the kids?

I'm getting excited for school to start up again.  Summer was fun but I'm ready to get back to "work." :D

I am doing Fairy Tales with them and using the Ron Brown CD called 'Storybook Friends' as the 'soundtrack'. I divided the kids up into groups according to ages and each group was assigned a song/story to make the puppets for and to act out with the song. There are 12 four year olds, 12 5 year olds, 12 6-8 year olds and 12 8-12 year olds.  Each group is making a different type of puppet to go with their songs. The oldest group is actually acting out the story Stone soup. The teachers are giving me some help in each of the classrooms. We will be doing the "performance" on Thursday at 11:30 for the parents etc. So far the puppets are turning out SO CUTE! I will post more pictures after the day is done but since I came home for lunch I thought I'd answer your questions Nikole.

AMAZING!!!  Thanks for all that information.    Your kids are AWESOME!  You had a lot of kids/groups but it sounded well organized and a ton of fun.  Wish I was there.
