P.S.  Actually it  just occurred to me that the base information I mentioned could be "shared" with other sites. For example we have the BlogTV embed and often YouTube embeds on the page. When those are requested by this page from those sites the same logs I mentioned that are kind of default on a site are triggered on those other servers. I guess we could disallow all that stuff but then the world just would not be as fun a place to live in.
