P.S.  I also want you to post the story about the character just like you would for the contest.

i think i might actually finish it in time!! last night after i was done working on it i was thinking, you know, i don't have that much left to do, just fabricate the body, sew the head to the body, put the foam in the hands with arm rods and everything, attach the arms, attach eyes, ears, and a nose (and maybe a belly button)

Good luck finishing. If it helps any, mine's only about 80% finished.

That reminds me... I still haven't used any of the eyes Billy sent me after a contest. Oops.
Well, here's a picture. Not a great picture since there's no hand in it. I have a little more done than is shown, but if I showed that, I'd have no secrets. lol.
I'm about to start adding details and facial features. I should hopefully be done in about 2 hours or so.

All of the facial features and ears have now been added. Have to cover the nose and ears with fleece, finish the eyes, and then finish details on the costume. So, I'd say 60-90 minutes should about do it.

i'm running into a lot of problems with the building, so i don't know how great the finished product will look great...
Re: is anyone entering project puppet contest? Posted by VampireWombat on Sep 17, 2010
What problems? Maybe someone could help.

And mine's taking longer than planned. 80 minutes since my last post and the nose is half covered, the ears haven't been covered at all, the eyes haven't been glued on, and I have to wait for glue to dry to finish the last the costume details. And it's time to take a break to cook dinner. So, I have a bad feeling I'm going to run out of daylight and have to use artificial lighting.
