I was able to get what I believe to be 'wayang golek' puppets from Java as a thrift store super find! Here's what they look like... also a picture of a carving from what I believe to be the same region. (Although, perhaps the puppets are from India?)

Well, I was wrong... they are Burmese puppets! (What a wonderful research tool is the World Wide Web.)

For reasons unknown the pictures referenced in this article no longer appear! Attempts to get this fixed have not worked to date.
E-mails have gone unanswered and I don't know if I'm entering the e-mail code correctly so they may not have gone out at all.
I have uploaded the pictures to my gallery (rocky) in hope this will serve as a workaround until the problem is fixed.

Are you talking about the pictures you have uploaded here? Have you been emailing me via the Contact Page?  I am out of town right now and I think I have not been checking the email account the contact page uses.  Sorry if that is the case. I'll see if I can figure out what is up with the pictures.  I do see that the links to the pictures are returning an error but not sure what the issue is.

I was able to fix the images in your first post but I could not find the ones in your second one.  For some reason the item numbers of the pictures in the code used where wrong.  I hope I got them back in the right order.
