My First Live Arm Puppet...Yeti, Sr Posted by Gimpdiggity on Sep 19, 2010
Hi everyone.

I'm sure many of you saw my Yeti, Jr character.  Well, I've completed another character in that same general area, but this is my first Live Arm Puppet.

His name is Yeti, Sr...and obviously, he is the father of Yeti, Jr.

Here's the story for him:

Yeti, Sr is Yeti, Jr's father...quite obviously.

Yeti, Sr lives in the mountains in Nepal.  He runs a small mountain climbing business.  He teaches people the basics of climbing, sells gear, and leads tours and expeditions to the mountains that he has grown to know so well over these last 127 years.

Yeti, Sr enjoys climbing, but he also enjoys playing golf.  Unfortunately, there aren't an awful lot of golf courses near his home, so he has built a puttin green and practices putting and chipping in his back yard.  He's gotten pretty good at it, and often time thinks about moving to a warmer climate (like Hawai'i) and starting to work for a golf course.  He's not sure how well he would do in the heat and sun though, considering he's so used to the cold and snow.

Yeti, Sr is currently showing off his summer coat.  Normally in the winter his coat gets a little bit lighter than it is now, but in the summer when the snow line goes up a bit higher, his coat gets a bit more tan so that he blends into his surroundings better.

Yeti, Sr is very proud of his son and he chats with him everyday on the computer.  Junior bought him a webcam for Christmas, but Senior is a bit old fashioned and can't quite figure out how to hook it up.  Next time Junior comes home from school, he's going to hook it up for him so that they can video chat while Junior is away at the campus.

I'm not going to lie...I absolutely love this character.  The look on his face is priceless and the live arms are simply great.  I actually find myself quite often just sitting around with him watching TV.  Tonight he was cheering right along with me as the Michigan State Spartans scored on the fake field goal to beat Notre Dame in overtime.  He's just so expressive with the live arms...and his facial expressions always look so great.

I really like this puppet.

He does have a great face/expression.  He looks just a bit surprised or perplexed.  Great job!

Yah, he always looks like he's in disbelief.  I followed the pattern from Project Puppet to the T, so I think that's the way that they are designed to look.

Sunbeatle, it's the Borsa pattern from Project Puppet.

And thanks for the compliments guys.
