My puppet needs a body Posted by fraustypuppet on Sep 21, 2010
This is fraust my friar, he needs a body. In this pic I just have a brown t shirt over his head and my arm is hidden by the shirt.. His mouth opens and closes, so I need a way to attach a body that doesn't mess with his head movement. Anyone have any ideas?

Well, use a sleeve as a neck connected to the head. This can be an actual sleeve from a shirt or just a tube created from material. As for the body itself, you could just use another shirt with anything from cardboard to styrofoam to craft foam or even milk jugs to provide shape underneath. And the neck sleeve could be connected to whichever of these you prefer.

That's pretty much how the concept of how this puppet's body was made.

Well there are many ways you can...where is the hole located? Is it below or in the lower back or in the middle back of the head?  Then we can go from there.

It's in the middle bottom of the head where the neck would be. I am not sure how to connect a neck. Also the mouth is kind of uncomfortable to use in it's current spot.
