What type of ideas are you looking for? Do you have a show or play in mind you want to use them with? I would say the first step would be to buy a lot of black fabric. Dracula is often a gothic character that is dark but I have a feeling that is not what you are looking for.

I Love the Grimstones................ but I agree with Shawn. Try looking at gothic pictures and see if any ideas come from that. I tend to like vampires myself. I'm a old Dracula fan.

how many people have you heard about doing goth muppet puppets?
Re: help! character ideas Posted by rocky on Oct 13, 2010
Common denominators... dark around the eyes, piercings with jewelry, spiked choker necklaces, black flowing clothing. Sometimes spike hair and/or bright colors in the hair.

no i have no show to do shawn... im kinda thinking i want to build my brand around gothic puppets...my first one was cross stitch the one in my gallery he was supposed to be a villian on project puppet but whatever... now i want to market to the HOT TOPIC kind of kind of kids...on another note what would you think of putting a zipper down cross stitches face, down the middle where the seam would naturaly be. i want hes head to unzip to a even creepier face under. how would i go about doing that with the roly patttern from project puppet?
Re: help! character ideas Posted by Shawn on Oct 14, 2010
Hmm... zipper to reveal a face underneath. Cool idea. Right of the top of my head I would start by making the puppet to be revealed normally according to the pattern. Then I would size the pattern up so that I could make another face out of headliner foam and fabric. Headliner foam is what you see on the inside ceiling of your car. It is very thin foam that has a layer of fabric fused to it. This should give you a "skin" that could fit over the original puppet that has a bit of structure but still be flexible enough you could unzip it and remove it.
