Bon jour! Posted by rayblum on Nov 26, 2010
Hello,   I am a middle school English and science teacher. I have been using hand puppets to help me teach for years. I found that kids (middle, high, and college) will be considerably more responsive to my puppet draped left hand than they will to Mr. Blum. I've made quite a few puppets, mostly using a SW Louisiana Cajun motif (that's where I teach). What a hoot! If there are any LA folk out there who'd like to share stuff with me, I'd really appreciate the collaboration. Thanks, Ray Blum

Welcome to Puppets and Stuff Ray...................... puppets are a excellent tool in communication and just plain fun. We would Love to see pictures of some of your puppet creations. I would like to hear more about your SW Louisiana Cajun style of puppetry. Make yourself at home and if you have any questions feel free to ask.

Welcome to P&S!  I ditto Billy's request for more information on your style of puppetry.  Not sure anyone here has ever presented that.

Welcome and can't wait to see pictures!! (hint - hint)

So very true!!  When I teach puppetry to teachers I love hearing back from them how well it works in their classrooms! They always say the same thing - "It WORKS!!" Even at the middle school and high school level.

Cool to hear....I teach teachers on integrating puppetry into there educational program/classroom it can be challenging at times but some really get into it.  I am glad to meet one who uses it with confidence and success.

I would love to pick your brain on how you execute with great success.  I think we could certainly learn as much from you as you can from us.
