Thought I had better introduce myself. Posted by working.lights on Nov 29, 2010
I have been posting on here for a few days now and thought it best if I said hi.
So Hi,
There that was not too bad, anyway my name is Tom and I am based in Norfolk, UK. I have always been interested in the theatre and work professionally as a theatre technician, specialising in lighting and stage sets. Since an early age I have been fond of the muppets and about 2 years ago went to see Avenue Q in Londons West End. That got me thinking how do they make them? When I got home I started some research and came across project puppet, I purchased some of their plans and since then my right hand has never been cold.
2 years later I have all project puppets plans, having just got the borsa pattern I might have a play with that very soon and put Audrey II to one side for a day or so and break out the faux fur. For a beginner the project puppet patterns are a great starting point.
I am now starting a project to build Audrey II you can follow my progress in my Audrey II post.
Well thanks for listening to me waffle on and I hope everyones hand is as warm as mine....
