Looks like an interesting blog. Like pretty much everyone here on the site I've been a customer and think Pasha puts out quality products and am glad to see him doing well and expanding his online empire!
Re: Project Puppet Update Posted by ProjectPuppet on Feb 04, 2011
I didn't see this thread until after I posted another "announcing" Puppetsmith. LOL. You guys are so on top of things.

And I want to assure you guys that I'm not trying to compete to put anybody out of business or expand my "online empire". Yikes! There's just a lot more, I feel, with which I can help folks out when it comes to puppet building and hopefully Puppetsmith will be the place to do it. Plus, I know it seems right now that Puppetsmith is "The Pasha Show". That's not the intention. The plan is to have guest builders do tutorials and projects, to have patterns available from a variety of sources, to be a resource for outsourcing different puppet building tasks, etc...to really explore building from different angles and perspectives. It seems like this has been done for puppetry in general (Heather Henson, etc.), but not really specifically for puppet building. Anyway, that's not just up to me. That's up to the eventual Puppetsmith "community". I'm just trying to provide a place where such a task can be accomplished. It's a little scary because I've invested a lot of time and energy and money into what really is an experiment, definitely more risky (in business terms) than Project Puppet, but I think it will be worth it for everybody involved in the long term.

Okay, I've bored you enough. I guess I just really want you guys to know that I've given it a lot of thought and my heart is really in this one. Project Puppet is fun, don't get me wrong, but Puppetsmith, at least to me, has the potential to be really great...Jerry Juhl's Fraggle Rock - if I dare to compare it to that. We'll see!

LOL Pasha I meant "online empire" in a good way.. I think you've done great stuff for the community and brought fantastic products to part-timers like me as well as the professionals out there.
Re: Project Puppet Update Posted by Billy D. Fuller on Feb 04, 2011
I Welcome it Pasha! and look forward to puppetsmith success. There is more than enough room on the net for more than one puppet resource. You get out of a website what you put in it.
As for competition, I think it keeps you up on your game to have others challenge you to do better.
