I shot this one today, instead of a green screen we had a projector behind us.

That seems to work pretty good. The puppets don't seem to be lite quite as well as in the green screen but that kind of lends atmosphere.

@shawn... that's kina what I was going for with the lighting. when i use the green screen the puppets need be to lit up very brightly in order for the keying process to work. with the projector screen in the back i can keep them a little darker. i'm glad you think it adds to the atmosphere

I think that lighting of green screen is a whole science in itself.   I don't know if you watch Sanctuary over at SyFy or not but much if not all of it is done on green screen.  I think they do a pretty good job and I very seldom even think about the green screen aspect, but every once in awhile they seem to miss.  It seems to be for the most part on outside scenes where they are in a very open area that I notice it the most.
