Just wondering................ since much of the USA is covered in snow. Are any of you using your snow days to complete puppet projects. We would also like to know how much snow you got? Post some of your snow pictures and share with us.

No snow for us, but below freezing for one full day.  That's very rare for us.  Unfortunately we had rolling blackouts which made it hard to keep building.  This time of the year is hard.  We don't like to use the contact cement indoors (explosions, fumes and all  ) So it makes kind of slow going when the weather is like this.

Right now I am down in Dallas with my parents helping them with a move and we had ice a sleet the other day which pretty much shut down the city. Seems odd for me since up in KC it would have not stopped many. Then again we are set up for things like this and much worse.  Today we experienced the power shut downs all day.  Evidently they are on purpose and are an attempt to keep wider outages from happening because of high demand. Where my parents are they only last around 15 mins at a time but it really makes it hard to get anything done (like computer work) when at any time the power can go off. They say to expect the same thing tomorrow.

Chicago....they shut down Lake Shore drive and had over 100 abandon cars. I had snow drifts half past my kitchen window, thats well over 7 feet....yikes.

I didn't leave my house on Tuesday - caught up on contracts etc. My son lives in Chicago and works for Drury Lance Theatre and the canceled last night's performance of Spamalot. He is going to try to dig out his car today!

You know it is bad when a theater cancels a show!  I've had to struggle to get to a show to work in pretty bad weather... after all the show must go on!

Re: Snowbound Posted by Shawn on Feb 03, 2011
I have been able to get to the store and in fact just returned from a walk down to the corner 7-11 to get some Pepsi.   Yesterday I was able to get out in the car also and get some stuff at the regular grocery store.

Living in the southeast................. we don't get a lot of snow but when we do everyone goes crazy. They head straight for the grocery store for bread, milk, batteries, ice, water, fire wood, DE-icier products. Don't even go to Walmart LOL.
