Thanks Steve. Looks like you've got a larger screen res. than me (as I expected) and IE has some issues with the layout. I'll try and fix it when I get access back to the site.

Really love the navigation! It's functional, simple yet appealing and (no offense) but this is a much cleaner design than your previous site in terms of being less cluttered.

The issues I did spot (from a design / marketing lens) is also the text that spills out the bubbles in some pages. But I agree with shawn, making it part of the image wouldn't let search engines pick it up. And the other thing is just the calendar, I have trouble deciphering it's cryptic message! (;

Can you tell me which pages you're having trouble with? And if you could use that link that I asked Steve to use, that would be great too - let's me know what kind of browser you're using, etc.

What specifically are you having trouble with in terms of the calendar?

Ahh yeah didn't think of the SEO behind the image idea, was just more of a quick fix in my brain. That's why I leave the web design/graphics to the wife and I do the rest lol.

To add to the list of working browsers, Opera Mini on my BB the site looks perfect.

Hey Naomi. I only took a quick look at the HTML and CSS of the site, but I think that you have the text set in div tags that are set to a certain width in order to restrict it to the correct area inside the circle.  Is that right?  One thing I've found is that padding and borders on a div can react different in browsers... ok I.E. for the most part.  I often wrap something like this in two divs.  The first one I set to 0 padding, border, margin ect and get it set to just the width and height that in need and then locate it on the page where I need it. Then inside that div I create another div that has padding or margins in order to give the "breathing" room needed for the layout.  That may be something that would work for you. Oh yes... don't forget that on your main holding div you can set height and then set the overflow to auto.  This keeps your text from extending down out of the area you need it in.

While your suggestion may have some merit, I'm not sure I'd do it. Mainly because the program that I used has an ass-backwards way of designing a template, wherein the only way to style each page is through CSS. If I add in extra divs to the About page, they get added to every page: meaning I have to go through and fix the CSS for every other page... making it much more complicated to fix.

Unfortunately, I'm having trouble getting Browsershots.org to work at a large screen res., meaning I can't currently even see what the problem is. I'm waiting until I get access back to the site (Pockets) and then will be able to better see what's happening in IE.

... Grumble grumble IE grumble...

I did that because I am about to hijack the thread a bit.   So Na what was the issue with the layout?  I would love to know the solution you and Steve came up with so I can log it in my mind for future use.

The issue was that he had a larger screen res. than I accounted for. The solution: adding a max-width to the body. (I thought I had done it, but apparently not)
