Maybe but I don't know the first thing about puppet ministry. Any books out there?
My first thought was... "What is there to know?", but then I tend to make things up as I go along. It seems to me I remember someone here writing somthing about starting up a ministry or am I just dreaming. One Way Street has a lot of resources available.

Agree with Shawn! OneWayStreet.com has lots of resources. Also your local library will more than likely have some books on directing a puppet ministry. I suggest starting here: http://www.onewaystreet.com/category/puppet_director/1
Also, I would love to touch base with you Aaron if you want to have a chat. I work as the elementary children's minister at faith community church in west covina. www.go2faith.com

Yes, One Way Street had a lot of resources on starting a puppet team. We have been directing a team at our church for nearly 12 years. It is a lot of fun! There are a lot of us on the forum that could answer questions for you. But it just starts with a decision to go for it!! There are lots of to support you!!

I really love the voice you used for the widow! And the judge was wonderfully arrogant- great playing.

Thanks Rikka! If you really hear some of my voices check out these videos:

I dunno. I think your best is the widow. You play a very convincing old woman. lol

ha ha, i think my best voice is reggie. He is in this video:
Re: The Puppet's Court Posted by Rikka on Feb 16, 2011
I will have to listen to Reggie later, because my fiancee is just getting acqainted with your Blues Brothers... He likes "Soul Man". I am Figurenreich, by the way- the name Rikka was taken.
The ventriloquist- puppet looks very much like the judge- same puppet or same pattern? I really like the Mr. Monkey- Voice, even though he is a bit hard to understand. but it made me more happy than the 3rd of October... ;-)
Okay, I got to Reggie. And as a true Indiana Jones Fan I really dig Dr. Smith. But I have to admit: Reggie has a sweet little voice, but I like Mr. Monkey better. But that could be for biological reasons (Females tend to like deeper voices better, uh?) ;-).

yes the judge is the same puppet as the ventriloquist. good eye! also these videos showed the softer side of reggie. i wish i had some clips where reggie is a little rough around the edges. I did this one too with Patchy the Pirate: " frameborder="0" allowfullscreen>
