I have been interested in puppetry/ vent for a long time but never could find the time. Then 4 yrs ago my wife and I had a beautiful baby girl. now that she is a little over 4 I think it is a great time to get started. I look forward to making this my new home and reading and learning as much as I can  thanks

Your little girl will have such a wonderful childhood with parents that build puppets! Great! And welcome, of course ;-)

hey! sounds really neat! do you know what kind of puppets you are wanting to build? my little nephew (5years) just loves my puppets ive already made him one and he wants another. the first one was a glorified sock puppet (frog puppet) but now he wants a puppet with foam in the head, so i think ill make him the roly pattern puppet (it has around head shape). if you have any questions ask anyone here i know we will be happy to help!

Fisrt off thanks everyone! this is why I joined this site, everyone is always so nice and helpful. I knew this would be a good place to learn and someday pass on what I have learned.
Right now we are wanting to build full body puppets with hands and feet

Welcome!! Speaking from experience, being a puppet family is WONDERFUL! We have so many fond memories of all the puppet things we have done as a family and now that our sons are grown it still continues! We look forward to seeing what you are working on.  I am a ventriloquist too and even though there are not very many vents on this forum, we are here! Again WELCOME!!
