I guess I'm more of a muppet show fan... the version after that- so he hosted most of the shows and a just LOVE the muppet show- This is truly a family show. When we where kids we did not laugh at the same gags as my parents did, but all of us laughed. Shame not all episodes made it to Germany. But things change with DVD.

It's great to see the evolution from inception until today. In the early days it appears his fingers had no wires, so they just flopped around; and it looks like it wasn't until Sesame Street that his fingers were made with wire. I also never noticed the double collar as seen the 1970-1976 photo. And Kermit wasn't made with antron until 1978? It said in '66 his skin "changed from cloth to fleece" ... are they talking generic polar fleece? When DID Jim Henson and Co. first start using antron? Didn't they pioneer the practice?

The 76-78 version is the one I remember best. Its funny because when I saw him recently I though, he looks different, but I just figured it was because I wasn't used to seeing him in HD. Did anyone check out the evolution with Big Bird? He really got a big head as is popularity grew!

I've always noticed Kermit's change in appearance over the years. Why even when I was a kid before I understood the reality of Kermit being puppeteered by Jim Henson, I could tell you when it was an older version of Kermit or newer version. It was a weird but fun skill I had as a child

The muppetshow was not as popular over here. And concerning the sesame street they made some extra scenes in Hamburg that featured Samson, Tiffy (both were build by Hensons creature shop, as far as I know) and other Characters... So some scenes of the original had to go- ask kids over here, they don't know big brid because he was exchanged.
Change was quite normal over here.
