If you are on a tight budget don't forget you can use Marabou. While it may not be as long and full it can still produce some nice results.

It normally comes in 6ft lengths and starts at around $2-$8 dollars per length depending on the weight.

Below is the company I use all the time....great service and nice people. Just watch ebay I have heard horror stories and sometimes they come looking pretty ugly and dirty so just be very careful is all I am going to say....feathers are never cheap when you want good cleaned and dyed ones with quality flow.....js.

You want to look for feather fringe. Trim has the ribbon, Fringe has a small cotton cord.

Thanks Daryl... question for you... I watched your video on adding hair and I was wondering about how long was the piece of fringe you used on that puppet? Would a yard do it for one or do you think it would take more?
Re: Feather trim/fringe? Posted by StiqPuppet Productions on Apr 01, 2011
That is a great question I think I ordered 3 yards for that head but I am sure you could do it in less like maybe 2 yards it really depends on the size of the head....if you make it to one of my live shows on BlogTV I can give you a better feel on the size of the puppet and then you can see how much bigger or smaller your puppet is compared to mine. I don't have it handy right now or I could maybe give you an estimate of the size....anyways hope that helps a little.
