Hello, I am a fifth grade teacher and actor in Phoenix, AZ. I just started to take my interest in puppets more seriously. I have a few puppets but never put time in to learning how to work with them. I am excited to find this site and look forward to learning more. I am interested in storytelling with my puppets along with using magic tricks. Anyone from AZ here?

The great thing about this forum is it is like we are at your house when you need us....it is sometimes hard to find someone who lives close to you...so this is the next best thing...I am glad you took the time to sign up and I am sure we can all help you get started on making puppets and storytelling techniques as well....so ask away!!

I am a former teacher turned ventriloquist/puppeteer/children's entertainer and I also teach teachers how to use puppetry in their classrooms. My brother lives in Arizona but I am in Iowa otherwise it would be fun to brainstorm! I do a lot of storytelling with magic tricks (but would not dare call myself a magician) My best advice is - JUST DO IT! You learn from trying things and my personal experience was that my classroom was a GREAT testing ground!
