Well, now that I've found out how to do this, lemme introduce myself:
I'm Larry LaFontsee, of LaFontsee Character Design (home of Characterman!)based in the Fox Valley (Neenah) WI.
I've been active in theatre and art since I was a small kid, and (well, wait, I'm STILL a small kid LOL!!)am involved with the creation of characters in 2D to 3D, and everything in between. I'm a puppeteer, voice man, impressionist, actor, director, writer, that designs, and fabricates puppets, vetriloquist figures, and mascot sized puppet costumes for stage, television, and film. Welcome! My, your characters are great! Do you have a YT- Channel? I'd love to see something in motion. What kind of plays/ movies do you write/ direct?

Dude! Another cheese head joins the forum! I'm down in Lake Geneva but I have a daughter that lives and works in Oshkosh which I'm thinking is closer to your neighborhood.

I love your work! It's encouraging to see a fellow Wisconsinite self-employed in the field that I'm now trying to enter. Welcome!    What amazing work! My husband and I used to live in Appleton! So I know just where you are! Our children were born in Appleton. We have not been back to the area for a while however :'(. Anyway again WELCOME! I look forward to seeing and hearing about more of your work!

I am just about to look at your facebook page. I think your profile pic is rockin' awesome!!!!!

You guys are being awfully nice to the new guy...THANKS! To answer the question earlier, about whether I have a YT channel...NO, unfortunately, not YET, but that is something we're working on. I'm partnering with Rock Garden Studios of Appleton, WI, and we're shooting a 1/2 hr children's tv pilot later this year, starring my little critters. We're writing some drafts of the script now, and also working on some puppets for it. When we have firmed up dates, and begin shooting, we'll be sure to post pics and info!! We WILL be posting the pilot on YT, as well as other places when we're ready.
I'm working on my new company mascot puppet, "Character Man", and am planning on shooting me inter-acting with him (large vent puppet). When that's ready, I'll post that as well. Meanwhile, I'll post some pics of his sculpt...he goes to molding soon (stone molds, latex puppet), and I'll post progress pix of the molding, assembly, painting and costuming too.
