I just upgraded FireFox so maybe that is the issue. hmmm.... I can't get it to happen in other browsers.

Could be. Firefox hadn't asked me to upgrade at that point (it since has, but I told it no)

I'm waiting for the DVD. Season 3 of the Muppets is due in May over here. I didn't even know that the Muppet Show used to be 3 minutes longer in Europe (25 instead of 22) because in the USA they needed that time for commercials.

I didn't know either until I got the DVDs. They include the UK spots on them

sorry that it is German. It compares the shorter American DVD to the German one. This is the episode with Jim Nabors. The American DVDs miss out on some music elements in the first season.
