Just a word of caution on this. Do not include your credit card information in an email please!  It is unsecured and can be seen by anyone who may be monitoring traffic in route from your computer to theirs. I am sure that Jenn Pratt did not think about that and yes the chances are slim that this would happen but all the same it can. Especially if a hacker got wind that Jenn excepted a lot of CC info this way. It would give them a motivation to hack the system.   Personally I think I would call them to give this this information.

Thanks Shawn I didn't catch that. I added to her quote to contact by fax for that information.

I did talk with Contact Name Removed about the credit card information and this is what she said. So I guess faxing it would be a better option.

Bill,

We don’t accept credit card #’s over the phone.
We have to have written confirmation.
I do have a credit card form that they can complete and fax back.
Thanks!

Fax is less likely to be intercepted.  If someone is worried about faxing their information then you could send the 3 digit security code in a separate fax or via phone or email.

A lot of 3-1 and 4-1 printers have built in faxes. Those that don't are there fax associated programs that work securely with email?
Re: Antron anouncement from Georgia Stage Posted by Shawn on Apr 13, 2011
Fax is not normally sent securely that I know of. In other words there is no encryption happening on the data sent. That being said there is also no encryption happening when you phone someone. It is just not something that is done. Unlike internet which is of course email, both are a bit more difficult to intercept or tap but not impossible.

I know there are programs out there that can fax for you but it has been so long since I even looked at them. Like you say most printers now have the feature built into it.  I think maybe even word processing programs like Works and Word might have them built in or available as addons.
