Easter Egg Puppets Posted by RYMANOFSTEEL on Apr 18, 2011
Building some Easter Egg puppets for this weekend. I am at the first step. I dremeled a hole in the base of the bottom half of the egg, inserted a narrow pvc pipe and gorilla glued it. Waiting for it to dry. Obviously there has been some run off of glue but that will be chipped away when it dries. will post more as it is worked on.

Is this going to be a talking egg? Can't wait to see the end result.

We used those huge eggs several years ago, cut them in half (like they had broken open), cut a hole in either the side or bottom and put a puppet inside. Lots of fun.

Yes they will be! Gonna work on phase 2 tonight
Here is the diagram i drew up before i started working
The dowel, which will be connected inside to the top of the egg, will move up and down through the plastic pipe which doubles as a handle.

Using the plastic tubing to make it move, it simple but very smart. Good idea!
