Like the new layout you have for the Progress page!   Good luck on today's foam run.

Hey There!
After 3 attempts - I finally got a good foam latex skin of the old man!!
http://puppetsandgore.com/progress.html
Check it out at the top of this page! It is two different colors due to the different types of latex that were used - but once it is seamed and painted - it will look fine!
Next step is to seam, paint and get the animatronics worked out! Stay tuned!

Looks good.  So is the line were the seam is in the mold?
Re: New Puppet I am working on - old hobo Posted by damien666 on Jun 24, 2011
Hey All!
Yes, the line that you see in the picture is the line from where the mold parts line up (this is a 4 part mold - front, sides/back, and the inner core).. No matter how careful you are or how good the mold is - there is always a seam line..
Removing those lines (technical term: seaming) involves cutting them away and then patching the area to make that line as invisible as possible.

Hey all!
It has been a long time since my last update.. I have been crazy busy with 'real work'.. Anyways - here is the latest on my old man character..
Since my last post, I have finished removing/repairing the seam lines.
In the latest pic - you will see that I have just finished applying the base coat of his paint job..

I hope to carry on with the paint job this weekend - I will keep you posted!

He is really turning out nicely! At first I thought he had slimmed up a bit then I read that he was distorted some because he was hanging up to dry.
