sponsored by KFC? I have seen the episode of the muppets where the swedish chef chases the chicken everywhere (including the swinetrek)- this did remind me... ;-)

I really like the idea of the "commercials" for upcoming events.  This gives me some ideas to do!

thanks for the feedback guys. Our kids were really excited about the picnic after seeing this. We have been promoting it for weeks but once we showed this video in services there was a huge buzz. Right now we are working on one video a week with this robot puppet. We really want the kids to get to know him as we will be using him a lot in the future.

Oh and the nice thing about doing in on video is that I don't have to be there for all 4 weekend services for the kids to see the puppet.

I know just how you feel about that!  Our children's church is slowly changing "themes" and we are having a clubhouse type.  I am working on a puppet that will be like a "scout" and the puppeteer (maybe me) won't be there every week so my idea is to have him visit on video and some surprise live visits once or twice a month.  Your videos give me encouragement that it could work.

it works! The kids love it and get excited to see a character that they recognize. The great thing too is that it keeps it in front of them even if you can't be there. We have had our puppets send messages via video with a script for a live person to interact with and that worked out excellent as well!
