I need a squirrel pattern that is simple enough for a beginner/average seamstress to make.  Have been asked to do a class on this, and anything I have is way to complicated for a beginner/avg. seamstress.  It must have a mouth that opens. 

Any ideas?

Hi MsPuppet,

I know there is a Rizzo pattern floating around, it could probably be converted, but it's more of a "trigger" puppet I would think once completed?

Make a simple sock puppet. I just designed one and put it in my gallery. Use it for your project if you want.

There is a pattern for a prairie dog puppet on bashful puppets site, its a really great little pattern and very simple, it could easily be adapted to be a squirrel (ears, tail and teeth usually help to make it look like a squirrel) i have the pattern and i dont see any real reason you couldnt make one with beginner seamstresses, you would obviously have to get permission, but all the videos on making the prairie dog are on youtube, so maybe take a look ad judge for yourself.
