If you want him to look very tired, you could place blue lids underneath his eyes, too. Or you could wrinkle the upper lid. I guess if you did both he'd look like he was suffering from exaustion. I guess wrinkling the upper lid is easier to accomplish.

So, I was just wondering what kinds of thins I should look for in a sewing machine. Like I mentioned earlier, My budget is at the most $100, but I wasn't sure how many stitches it should be able to do, or if anything fancy was really worth the extra money.

I don't really think you need anything fancy on your machine.  With puppet making you pretty much just use the straight stitch. It is nice if it has a walking foot or if you can get a walking foot for it.  A walking foot allows you to sew on thicker fabrics or on things that do not feed easily through the machine.  It basically is foot on the machine that helps move the fabric through. Not needed but something that is nice to have.

I agree, straight stitch, maybe zig zag. You can buy a walking foot for about any machine at a sewing machine shop (or order online).
Another possibility is to buy a used machine from a sewing machine store. They usually clean and oil them and check them out when they take them in trade (or buy them and repair them).  Sometimes you have to ask because they may keep them in the back.

Brother 10-Stitch Portable Sewing Machine, LS-2125i or Singer Simple 23-Stitch Sewing Machine 2263 either one are good starter machines. Notice they are very basic. No computerized stuff on them.  I my self would go for the Brother simply because the reverse is on the right lower side of the machine instead of like the Singer that has it on the top left.  That is mainly because the machine I learned on and use now has it in that location so that is where I am used to going to reverse the stitch.  There is actually another Brother on that page for $69.88 that is a limited edition that would most likely be fine also.

P.S. You don't have to buy at Walmart, that is just the site I found that had pictures of the machines and I wanted you to see the simplicity of them.  Again don't go for computerized of fancy. You don't need it and it just gives you more things that can go wrong with your machine.

There are a quite a few good machines in the $100 range. As for features I agree with those listed above, but generally you don't get too many fancy options at this price. I'd probably stick with a known name like Singer or Brother. Amazon has quite a few options to check out and you can always reference the customer reviews. Personally I bought a White sewing machine for around $100 five or six years ago and that basic little machine has served me well in all my puppet making needs thus far!
