I teach 4th grade at a Christian school. Every year we do about 4 shows. I don't know what it is that gets into your blood stream, but I believe you can never have too many puppets. I always want to make new ones...new themes, etc. Right now I'm working on a show that uses men from the Bible, so I need a cast of old characters like Methuselah, Obed, Moses, Adam, Abraham, Noah and more. I want to make each one look unique, but this will be a little challenging since they are all somewhat similar. For Noah I have a dove puppet to perform on his shoulder. I'm going to make Methuselah REALLY old looking (969 years old). I'm going to try wrinkling up the fleece while I cover his head. We'll see how they turn out. I agree, you can never have too many puppets! But I have had to get rid of some to make room for others. :'(

Can you ever have too many puppets? In principle, I would say, "Of course not!" On the other hand, I moved three weeks ago, and after assembling 22 plastic totes of puppets, costumes, props and building supplies, I might just have to re-think that. Maybe when it gets to 144 totes...

Now THAT is the right direction to be thinking! 22 totes is only a START! Of course it's easy for me to say since I haven't hit 10 totes yet...YET!
