Good fuzzy fleece but a letdown as fur. And sellers communication was both poor and rude- Steve

I just ordered some green fur to test, what is wrong with the fur?

Thanks

The texture is more like velvet than fur and the is no stretch at all on most of it. It is good for marionettes or something like that (Possibly dolls)- Steve

Really? Was this part of the package deal he had or one of the individual auctions, what he had pictured didn't look that way at all? I did see that he had something called seal fur as well, maybe that was it?

It was part of the package deal. I'm not sure what seal fur looks like so I culdn't say for sure. Seller has negative feedback from other buyers because of rude lreplies and selling the wrong material. I left him a positive only becaue this could be a mis-undersading.-Steve

Just got mine last night, 4 yards of Troll Hair!!!

Nothing like what I was expecting, hopefully I'll find some use for it. I do have to say he was not rude to me, or anything like that, and the shipping was quick!

Buying fur from a picture can be tough......

Thanks

I am starting to feel it's best to see what you are buying first. Though for what I got it really was a good price and I will use it in assorted places. (started on a marionette with the pink) there is no good place to buy fur around here but something called Hobby Lobby has been running ads that they are opening soon in the area.-Steve

I've purchased from Distinctive Fabrics a few times as well and think the fur is excellent, but for the price of the one on eBay, I couldn't pass it up just to try.....

Steve,
You'll like Hobby Lobby. They are a chain and we have them here in KC. Their fabric selections is not what it used to be since the scaled back the fabric departments but they do normally have a decent selections of fur and the basics. You should also be able to pick up some non-pill fleece from them although getting it without bunnies or ducks on it might be a challenge. What you will really like is their selection of craft items. They have a doll section that is normally pretty good. You should even be able to pick up foam from them although they don't sell reticulated foam.
