Anyone here from the Philippines Posted by Out of the Box Puppets on Aug 11, 2011
Hey,
I have a customer inquiry from a someone in the Philippines.  They produce a Sesame Street type program.  They are looking for a custom puppet for their next season which starts in November.  Because of some shipping restrictions from the US we are unable to help them.  If you are in the Philippines or nearby by and could help out, please contact us and I will forward your information on.

Don't know if this will help, since I can't decide whether the people running the site are simply spammers or legit... but leaning towards legit:

If they don't do building, they may know of someone who does.

Or else, it turns out there is an UNIMA centre there, contact info can be acquired from UNIMA USA:

Don't we have a puppet builder on here that lives in the Philippines? I can't think of his name, but he is very talented.

mspuppet - I thought there was someone here also, but couldn't find his profile.

adelaide puppet - thanks for the info.  Here's the link to their site.  http://my.opera.com/KIDSFORLIFEOUTREACH/blog/  It brings back some fond memories.  I've had the privilege to visit the Philippines are few times and the people their captured my heart.  It almost brought me to tears to see the kids photos.

In the mean time I think we've been able to work out the details.  The puppet will be shipped to LA, then one of their associates will forward it on the the Philippines, so they are going to handle the permits.

This is the company.  It's a very interesting story.  They revived the series in the last few years without the Sesame Street folks because of contract disputes.  http://muppet.wikia.com/wiki/Sesame_%28Philippines%29
