Andrew who is a member here and used to have puppetvision.info is the one who posted these, but his blog seems to be down at the moment so not sure if he had posted more information on it about them or not.  The above image is just a sample of the images you'll find if you follow the link.

I was able to find the site of the company that built and preforms these.  Close Act Theater.  They are from the Netherlands and Belguim.  They are a group of stiltwalkers, dancers and musicians formed in 1991.  The site is offered in English just look for the UK flag at the top.

Not really sure what they are but do know that one of the other characters in the photos is a witch so I would bet they are dragons.

I think you are right...... Looks like some type of dinosaur bird like creature. Nevertheless impressive.

Impressive is the right word to use! I can't imagine being one of the puppeteers!! Incredible!!

I am a stilt walker as well. There are a few groups who do this type of act. Another popular one is the Android sisters

I worked with them on a 2 week festival once. They really look scary when you see them coming. They also use LEDs and some audio inside the costumes.

Very cool. I love the fact that they have articulation in the hands and can pick things of the heads of by standers.
