Introduction Trash and Puppets Posted by kimaging on Aug 26, 2011
Hi,
I'm new to this site and have been reading your forum, you can certainly get a lot of info from you guys.
I am trying to set myself up in business as 'Trash and Puppets' after been made redundant a few months ago. I have a site on YouTube where you can see some of the puppets I make, just type in kimaging1 and you will find it or type trash and puppets.
I like to make puppets mostly out of things we throw away and enjoy passing on my skills to children.  I have just started making some samples of animal puppets for a project that I am going to work on with some special needs children who are looking at Carnival of the Animals and who want to make large animal puppets out of paper mache.
Look forward to reading more of your comments, great forum!
Bye 4 now

Here is the you tube account................ Welcome to Puppets and Stuff. Your puppets are great just shows that what is trash to one is treasure to another.

Thank you one and all for your warm welcome.

Your puppets are pretty amazing and I think its great how you help one another with information.

I have worked in only a couple of schools so far having been invited to do some artist in residency work with said schools.  My workshops are adaptable for age and time available.  At present I am putting together a business plan and have no funding but do have some schools that are interested in booking me, if they say the price is right.  I find pricing what I do very difficult as I have always done it as a hobby and not many people do puppetry in Staffordshire but hope with some guidence I will succeed in my dream.
