Street Performing Puppets Posted by andycomic on Sep 04, 2011
As the new member, I thought I would throw in a post. I started off street performing when i started doing juggling and magic show and have always loved the puppeteers who work on the streets. Here are a few of my favorite ones.
I know there are 100s out there, these are the ones that really grab my attention. I've been performing now for 21 years and there is still nothing more exhilarating that performing on the street. Its the most honest and real type and performing I have ever done.
Thanks,
Andy

Dude! You're killing me with all these videos! Now I'm going to have to budget even MORE time for spending at Puppets & Stuff so I can watch all of these. Only had time for the first one this morning but I love watching them so I reckon I'll be back.

Wow I love the wrist control on this video. I think she is only one I have listed here that uses the hand and elbow strings. I search youtube every week or so for new vids uploaded in the past 7 days and am always surprised by the new acts I find (I hope its not a sign of the time seeing these great acts out on the street earning money)
Feel free to add any more you guys find but remember: Street Acts Only !! (for this post at least)

Ok this is not a marionette (or at least I don't think so) but it is kind of unique I think.

There are other videos on youtube of this guy but this one was nice and close and you could actually see the puppeteer. When I first saw a video of this guy I thought maybe it was animatronic but I don't think it is. Not real sure how he is manipulating everything though.
P.S. I watched it again and a couple others and I think the puppeteers hand is coming in through the puppets face. What do you think folks?
