To me it seemed like there was space between the box and the face- wouldn't his hand show, then?
But the DJ stands a bit... groovy, so that his hips are very close to the box- maybe he is operating the puppet through the hips? Maybe with some weight thing connecting the legs, cablecontrolled arms and a rod for the head?

Wow, that is cool. The dog really looks eager, with those ears and how he comes down on his front legs. I would certainly get a gordian knot with a marionette!

I really like that mini dj, minimix!! there is one vid where one of the people watching brings the camera really close to the side and you can see that the arms have armrods and the feet have rods also, so the arms are being controlled by the puppeteers hands and the feet are connected to the puppeteers feet, the head seems to be controlled by the puppeteers head in some way, but im not entirely sure, and i dont know how the little djs body is being moved, there is just so much movement and realism, its awsome, i wish i had one!!!

There is a small icon you can click when you are posting. Message Image It pops up a prompt for you to copy the share URL in. That then tries to figure out the actual ID of the video and puts it between the youtube bbcode tags.  I actually modified your post so you can see what the bbcode looks like.
