Need help about two marionettes I purchased Posted by flowerfairy on Sep 21, 2011

Hi, I recently purchased two beautiful marionettes from a friend who purchased them over 20 years ago as collector items in San Francisco. They are gorgeous. ONe is a fox and the other is a bunny. The craftsmanship is exquisite and they are each about 3 ft tall. My friend paid a good price back then and I would like to find out their value now. The artist did sign his name underneath their shoes, but I cannot seem to locate the artist online. Any suggestions are so appreciated.

I doubt very much that I'll be able to offer much help but I would guess that you'll need to provide some photos of the puppets and perhaps the artist's name for those here with the necessary expertise to be able to help out. Good luck and welcome to Puppets and Stuff.

I agree unless you give us something to go on it is hard to give you an idea. Finding a buyer for such a thing can be hard though, just warning you. Even if someone says "Hey these are old and worth hundreds of dollars." you still have to find someone willing to pay that whom is into the specific puppet maker.
