Yes heat forming is one way. but you can also vacuum form these materials for shallow draws. I have vacuum formed 1/2 inch thick L200 over molds to make mult.'s of the same shape. the craft foam is also vacuum form able. Just be carful as the fumes that come off of it as it heats are toxic. I would not glue it together with white glue for permanate bonds I still use contact cement.
