Archangel, he's great! I have to show my 13 yo son asap. He loves puppets and soldiers! He's going to want me to make him one. LOL

Thanks everyone, it really feels good to get positive feed back from all of you. Puppeteer Elly, I'm considering donating him to the local museum that gave me the idea if they will take him. It's a "living" museum called Conner Prairie and they just opened a Civil War section. Angel, if you do make a soldier puppet, I would love to see him. Shawn, I love the chops too. Puppetainer, I need to update that to two sewing machines, LOL.

I'm getting so antsy, just waiting! Better go work on something to get my mind off it. I'm going to warm up the sewing machine and brew some coffee.

Dude! I'm a little jealous. I'm still sitting with my first. Don't know if a second sewing machine will be my next "big" purchase though. Have had my eye on a band saw and drill press for helping with building various puppety bits and pieces...
And Kimberly I totally get the anxiousness of waiting for them to post all the entries! I probably check the site 5 or 6 times a day.

Well, you guys have motivated me to lug out my machine and investigate if I can get it working. It intimidates me, because I'm not used to using it for over 10 years! I've been hand sewing everything, but I'm guessing there are areas on my puppets where I could be making shortcuts with the machine. (especially the clothes!)
Allergies kept me up late last night,so I built some cool teeth with makeup sponges while I was up- now to work on the heads.
