Other hobbies Posted by Mujician on Nov 09, 2011
Hi guys, I'm relatively new on this forum, and I'd like puppets/ventriloquism to be a new hobby of mine. So I was just wondering what other people did?
In my spare time I play a lot of music (classical, ska and folk), and I also keep and breed a large number of reptiles (although I hate calling that a hobby!) if anyone is interested I often have baby snakes and lizards for sale!
So what do you guys do?!!

well the job that pays me weekly is a computer gig, but I'm also a musician... semi retired I guess you could say. I'm not actively playing in a band. I've been making puppets for I'd say about 6 months now, it's a new love.

I feel almost embaressed, I am a analphabet concerning music. I can't even sing (but that won't keep me from doing it in the shower- be grateful for the atlantic). I have a dog that could probably be fed to a snake, being so small, but I would like to avoid to have that happen. My husband has a cat and in this cats world all other pets existence warrants are expired. He does make an exception for my dog, luckily. So even if we were not separated by an ocean I couldn't have a snake or lizard- even though I love them. I love to read, I really dig the song of ice and fire series. And other fantasy stuff. Some old movies, love them to be scary but can't stand zombies (night of the living dead isn't all that bad). And I love D&D- but that probably did get around...

Lets see.............. I Love cooking, gardening, crafting, and I have a new hobby turtles and fish aquariums, however I'm not doing real well at it. My fish keep dying and I don't remember this being such a difficult hobby! Maybe Mujician can give a few pointers about what I'm doing wrong.

And I must add, I spend so much time glueing those small color paper strips, that I dont care the whole thing is going to be beaten to peaces on the party.

I would not dare to beat it up. It is so beautiful.

The pinata looks like a work of art, such a shame that its gonna be smashed to pieces, but there will no doubt be many happy kids because of it!!
with regards to hobbies, mine sort of became my jobs, i own carbon fiber spring mounted jumping stilts and love to jump around on them and do flips and all sorts of acrobatics, but i also spend a lot of time performing on these as well, flipping over cars, etc... but at the same time, i do alot of fire breathing, juggling, contact juggling, magic, small illusions, i play the bass guitar, lead guitar and drums, i swim at strange times of the day (midnight can be fun), rollerblade, ice skate, play ice hockey, parkour (also called free running), make other things (candles, books, soap, etc.. mostly with my wife as it keeps her happy!!) i love modular origami (which ties into my love of making puppets), i go to the cimema absolutely tons, but all of these things sort of come together with my performing, and obviously take second place to all the orders for custom puppets i make, my performing with puppets and my work on the stilts.

My, Jeezbo, you are a busy fellow. I'd love to see you do acrobatics. Swiming under a full moon is really grand- even though I am no great swimmer myself.
