I have a Bill Baird puppet that needs restringing for display. Can you do it? Posted by lairdwh on Nov 19, 2011
He is a tightrope walker puppet, made by the Bill Baird company, circa 1950-60.  The puppet was sold at their estate auction after his death.  It is a test version, designed to test certain aspects of the final puppet.  Nevertheless it is quite extraordinary.

Can you restring the puppet?  It doesnt have to be perfect, since it will not be used, just hung.

What will you charge?

We have a thought that it might like its own freestanding frame to hang from.  If you are capable of making such a thing, please mention it.

Email me at LairdWh at Aol . com, or, replying to this directly should notify me of replies.  I am located in New York City, Manhattan, upper west side.

Where are you located? I could do it for you but I am in Kansas City MO and it would be better if you could find someone local do it. Shipping can be costly and delicate.

Welcome! My husband and I went to the museum in Mason City to see the Baird collection and it was fabulous! What a treasure to have one of their puppets! I'd love to see a picture!
