The Best Time to Start is Now. Posted by Cherriey on Dec 06, 2011
Hello, everyone! I just joined this morning but have been lurking here for around a week or so. I have been wanting to build a puppet (alright, maybe more than one) for quite some time but have never gotten around to actually trying it. To me this site is one of the steps toward actually building said puppet.
You all seem really friendly so I am excited to be here and start my adventure into puppet making. =0)

Thank you, thank you *bows*
I recommend starting with the Beginner's Guide to Puppetry. Unfinished, but will take you through a tour of the basics.

Hope it helps! I know it's a lot to go through, but it does show just how diverse and infinite puppetry is. Eventually I'll even have an Advanced Guide on the site... by then I think I'll be 50, and there'll be more than 1000 articles
But if there's something you don't understand or would like to know, please ask! The guys here are fonts of info.
