Wow Posted by MsPuppet on Dec 11, 2011
It never ceases to amaze me... if I am gone a week or more there are so many posts! I feel like I missed a lot of good stuff.
I'm back, after being out of pocket for over 2 weeks. If you have asked me a question, emailed, PM'd me or whatever, I am trying to catch up. We flew out of state (again) to attend another funeral. The evening of the funeral my dad was admitted to the hospital. I ended up staying so I could be there for my parents. Am home now and trying to get ready for the holidays.
Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the season.

Thanks y'all (living in TX for 35 years, I've finally adopted the language - LOL).
My dad is doing well. He is 73, retired several years ago, never slowed down. He built houses in CA for about 5 years, and then the company he retired from asked him if he wanted to come back to work. In the past 3 years they have had him all over CA, now he is in the office.
Because he is in good health and this came on so suddenly, we were very worried. It started as a stomach virus. He was severely dehydrated when admitted. In addition, his heart rate was all over the place, from 50-220. He has a pacemaker, so it should keep his heart regulated. He just had a new one about 1-1/2 years ago, so the dr was very concerned. Many people were praying, and it settled down and is now fine. The dr said he could not explain it, decided "the Man upstairs" must have fixed it. He is going back to work tomorrow, and will meet us in Branson for Christmas.
I do appreciate all the kind, caring people on P and S. If we all lived close, I would deliver some home baked/made goodies to you (getting ready to start Christmas baking and candy making).
