Hmmm -- maybe a 3D puppet western set in the post-apocalyptic future--- WHAT AM I THINKING?!

You know that once an idea pops in to your head it is almost impossible to get rid of it.   Only ditch the 3d part... I am sooooo over all the 3d craze. Makes my stomach go woozy.

Congrats on a successful debut! How do you want to handle exchange of money for DVD? I would be interested in one.

Yeah, I was over the 3D craze when it started.  It was great for Avatar (and Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole, which was very good actually).  After that... not so much.

My days of feature films are behind me for now.  For a bit.  But you're right -- a western may be something to think about.

You know I actually enjoyed "Cowboys and Aliens".  I was a bit skeptical but it was pretty good.

I add my congratulations! Like Boozebandpuppets I would also like to know more...see more, of your premier. How did you organize it and all that. We'll want to do something like that as well ... one of these years

Ha ha, Shawn, I get what you mean about the 3D thing. Me too.. but oddly enough, we have been asked to do  some shorts in 3D (as in 3D glasses stuff). Not sure we will persue it, although some tests I did worked  well. It's another one of those things, that I am sure will not last too long, until a generation or two down the track when it will come around again. There is a new company started here to do stereoscopic stuff. So far they have not gotten very far because there are very few capable of delivering what is needed.

PoorFishy....You will not ESCAPE!  Another project is taking hold it seems.

Thanks so much.

Well, we've been submitting material to the Hamilton Film Fest here in Hamilton Ontario for the past five or six years.  We've won a couple of awards and the folks down there at the HFF have been very supportive of us from the get-go.  They've been following our progress with this project and asked us if it'd be ready by Nov. 11 as they would like to premier it as the closing film for the fest.  We said "Sure we can have it finished by then.  No problem!"  So we suddenly found ourselves with a little over a month-long deadline.  But we got it finished on Oct. 30 (minus a few tweaks to the credits) and submitted it on Nov. 5.  Then the theatre sold tickets for us (and we sold a few) and that was abut that.

It was a very small theatre but it was better than half full - not bad for an unknown filmmaker screening a puppet movie.  We sold a few DVDs, had a display of the puppets and some props.  It was a good night.

Sadly I have a pretty terrible cold at the moment so I didn't enjoy it quite as much as I would have liked, but waddya gonna do?

Ok I want a DVD but I don't understand the link or how to make it work for me. How does it work?
Re: It Came from Uranus Posted by Shawn on Nov 14, 2012
If you have a paypal account then you log in and then click on Send Payment. Paste that email address into the box for who you want to pay and then enter $15.00 in the amount box.  Below that you should see a message box where you can type a message along with your address so that PoorFishy can send you the DVD.
