You're much better in getting stuff from head to paper than I am. I gave up on that subject. Even if I waste material, but it seems my head is not very organized.

I love this idea.  Looking forward to it.

As for bringing ideas to life, I'm the same way - I can't draw it out and reproduce it.  I generally have an idea and then let happy surprises happen as the characters develop.

Thanks! I was thinking I was hopeless because of my inability to draw my ideas. You gave me back hope!

I can some times sketch out basic ideas, but I definitely see it in my head first and go from that vision!

I understand what you are saying about letting ideas happen as you build the puppet, and that definitely works sometimes, too. Sometimes when I am doing a commissioned piece though, it is necessary to be able to give them a general idea of what the puppet will look like when I am through with the build. (Also for my own purposes for focusing on finishing and not taking to long on experimenting) My own puppets I would like to complete in under 30 hours, to keep the cost of my labor where it should be.
I ordered the fur yesterday, so I will be buying the foam and other necessaries today.
